Chapter 10
My philosophy on leadership
Not a leader, but a leader

01
I see what leadership is
The world talks a lot about leaders. It calls those who have authority as leaders.
Appreciates the incumbents as leaders. Respects influential people as leaders. But in my view, leadership is none of these things. Leadership is responsibility.
Just because a leader stands tall does not make him a leader. He is a true leader only when a thousand stand tall with him.
I never wanted everyone to follow me. I want them to grow up to create their own path. For the followers of one man may die out in a generation.
But leadership that creates leaders will live through the centuries. In my view a leader is not the first to speak. He knows how to listen. He is not a giver.
One who understands. He is not a creator of fear, but a faith builder. He is not a fame seeker. One who accepts responsibility: a true leader, when success comes, shares that success with his team.
In case of failure, he will shoulder the responsibility first. This is leadership.
02
Leadership creates leaders
Leadership is not a display of authority. Knowing when not to use power. Leadership is not about knowing all the answers.
Knowing how to ask the right questions. Leadership is not about controlling everyone, but helping them unleash their potential.
The leadership I want to emulate in my life is not leadership controlled by fear. Leadership that unifies through trust. Not leadership that uses people, but leadership that nurtures people.
It is a leader tells his team, "work for me." do not say that. Instead, "Let's create a greater purpose together." It must be said.
Only then will work cease to be a salary; this becomes a contribution. Leadership, I believe, is not just about speed of decision-making. It also lies in the integrity of decision-making.
No decision should make people lose respect. No success should be achieved without ethics. No development should come at the expense of humanity.
That is why SOZHAA's leadership prioritizes human respect and ethics over authority.
03
SOZHAA leadership is not a position
Leadership at SOZHAA is not a position but a responsibility, not a privilege but an obligation, and not authority but trust. A leader need not constantly check whether people are following.
Even in his absence, we have to see if those people continue to follow the right path.
That is the true measure of leadership. Even if I am gone one day, SOZHAA's values should live on.
Even if I am not, its leaders must make decisions with integrity. Even if I do not speak, its institutions should highlight humanity. That is the kind of leadership I want to create.
It was not a human-centered leadership and a principle-centered leadership. My dream is not to get a hundred leaders to follow me, but creating a thousand better leaders than me.
That is the greatest achievement of a leader. How tall a tree grows is not its glory. Its glory is how many new seeds it produces. Similarly, how high a leader rose is not long remembered in history.
How many leaders he produced will go down in history.
04
A legacy of leadership
Therefore, my leadership is not a commanding leadership, but inspirational leadership. My leadership is not a competitive leadership. Leadership that creates collaboration.
My leadership is not a leadership of fear. Leadership that instills courage. My leadership is not a story about me, but success story of thousands of people traveling with me.
That is why I do not want to be remembered as a leader. I want to be remembered as a person who created new leaders.
That is my leadership philosophy. That is the guiding principle of my life. That is the flagship identity of SOZHAA GROUP.
